OOH! OOH! I really want to do this meme. Spotted over at wayfairer's journal.

The Coming Out Meme.

Come out about something. It doesn't have to be your sexuality. It could be about something terrible or wonderful. It could be that you put ketchup on your turkey. It could be that you secretly wrote twenty unauthorized sequels to that Harry/flobberworm ( Read more... )

Oooh, a coming-out meme! If only I could resist... but alas, I cannot. Well, okay. Here's the secret - which is not at all a secret to some people - sometimes I think of myself as more of a gay man than a woman. Strange, yes, but apparently not so uncommon in the lovely world of slash. I think everyone has a crush on Angelina Jolie, btw. She's beautiful! Oh, and I would read your Legolas fics, if they're posted anywhere. :)

Did you ever get my comment about rec'ing your for a skyehawke account? If you're interested, the offer still stands, but on hold - skyehawke's down for the count at the moment, but they expect it to be back up again sometime, so whenever that happens...

My entire circle of friends is in withdrawal; it's the best site out there, and in my eight-month acquaintance with it, this is the first time it's ever been seriously unavailable. It's not a crash, exactly; just a re-negotiation with their web hosts. Anyway...

Squee! I love memes! Alas, I could not resist either! I totally understand about the whole gay man rather than a woman deal. It's just the slashy goodness!

Trust me, you do not want to read my Legolas fics. You would lose any and all respect for me and I would have to curl up in a hole in the ground and hide from you mockery.

Or, you know, whatever.

Thank you for offering to rec me for Skyehawke. I used to think FA and my LJ would be enough to sustain my slashing but now I would love an account there! They sound absolutely fab.

Thanks so much for taking part in the meme, it's great, I'm learning so much about people!

Hi! Thanks for understanding about the coming-out meme! And I didn't realize that TF wasn't finished either, oops! AND, skyehawke is back up, too! :) So, I'm going to set up your account under the pen name of stylophile, and I'll do that right away. They should be emailing you quite soon with your password and so forth. I'm looking forward to seeing you around there!

So, no to the Legolas fics, huh? :) Don't worry, we all write stuff we'd rather not have see the light of day, later. My own confession is a terrible non-con fic I wrote about the Weasley twins and Zacharias Smith, based on their conversation in the Hog's Head. It was called Zacharias Smith Learns a Lesson, and when ff.net deleted my account (too NC-17), I was frankly a little relieved when that story got lost. :)

Take care!

Fabulous! Thank you so much for being so quick as well! TF is essentially finished but there shall be many a sequel ficlet on the way! I hope you like them!

That fic actually sounds good! When did you write it? Omg my Legolas ones are just appalling and verbose and mary-sueish and generally crap. Oh the shame!

Can't wait to get onto Skyehawke! You're an absolute star.

Angelina Jolie you say. I am as gay as it gets, and I would question my sexuality around her.

How does she do it? WHY CAN'T I DO THAT?!

I have pondered this before. It's the lips. She has this sensual grace that that radiates off of her. I am a tad jealous of her myself.

Yes! And the hair, I think, which is all long and dark and wavy and the whole Lara Croft thing which is just as sexy as hell.

Milk and pizza, eh? Never tried that combination myself but you live, you learn, I guess!

Ack! I'm obsessed with money too! I always get horrible remorse after I know I've spent too much! Why oh why?!

Food is unnecessary, I wish I had the strength of will not to buy food because then maybe I could diet effectively.

Exhibitionism rules, I won't hear a word against it!

Thanks for taking part!

Well, the sexuality is certainly the "coming out topic" of choice, but let me see. Even if I met the perfect man, I would not be interested in getting married or having children--too cliche. LotR was the first place I read slash fanfiction (Legolas/Gimli); HP is my second fandom. While my favorite pairing is Harry/Draco hence I enjoy your recent fics, I admit a weakness for Harry/Voldemort(Tom Riddle) storylines. There, confessional and I feel all clean--or something. Must be that Catholic upbringing. Does this make you happy Stylophile?

Deliriously! Thank you!

I'm hoping some people will come out about their sexuality so we can spread the love. YES! Marriage is cliche and the only aspect I approve of is the pretty pretty dress, and maybe the presents, and the diamond ring, but that's it. And children? Ick.

I actually think Harry/Tom Riddle is quite cool but Legolas/Gimli? I'll reserve judgement!

I have bad taste when it is about straight men.

But very good taste when it comes to gay men.

I don't know. But it sucks >_<~!!!

So my goal in life is to turn gay men to become bisexual so that at least I get some semblance of a chance with them. ^-^
