From my last post I was rewarded with tiny snapshots into the lives of some of the beautiful and fabulous people on my flist who granted me a moment’s view of themselves and what they were doing. I learned a lot and discovered that nearly everyone who commented had just eaten something and had had plenty of ghostly experiences of their own. I want ( Read more... )

Damn good ficlet, m'lady! You are always right on target with your writing! As for teaching you something as cool as how to make moonshine... hmm... that I shall ponder for a bit. I'll get back to you. *ponders*

Eureka! Okay. Perhaps you already know, but in order to tie a cherry stem in your mouth, you need to use the propper combination of tongue and teeth movement. First you use your tounge to fold the stem sort of in half with your tongue, then you get one of the stem's ends and wrap it around with your tongue. Now you have a loop that you can push that end through, but I find it's best to push that end through the loop and also inbetween your front teeth, whilst the rest of it stays on the other side. Then you can tighten the knot by pulling on that end of the stem while holding the loopy-knot part in your teeth. Make sense? I'm not sure... but it's a fun party trick... trick. ha. Sorry... I'm done now. Nap time, anyone?

Thanks for the recipe on Moonshine. I've called a mate over to come and help me make it. She's going to bring her boyfriend so he can eat the mash when we're done. He eats anything - trust me. I once saw him eat paper and wool. He was quite drunk of course but nevertheless ( ... )

Squee! I loved your teachings on how to piss people off!

When out, tell them that if they buy the first round, you'll get the next - but then disappear when the time for you to buy actually comes.

BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for rising to the occasion, love, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the ficlet. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply but I got so bogged down that I haven't slashed properly in days and lo, it has been most distressing.

You're so lovely, darling. Good luck with the moonshine! (That stuff has a kick).

I enjoyed this one more than the last. So much good stuff packed in a small space. I liked these lines:

Harry could tell that he was pleased with the compliment and reflected over just how much he needed Draco, his very own work of art, with so much to him that it would take a lifetime to decipher, something Harry was only too willing to give.

Harry felt a sense of love wash over him and realized that it was times like these, of contentment and companionship that made everything else worthwhile.

I loved their encounter in the dressing room, Hermione's interruption and all. I did not see Harry as so daring, but I can understand him so overcome by love for Draco, it knows no bounds.

My tidbit to you is nothing extravagant, but has served me well:
To prevent votive candle wax from being difficult to remove, I use nonstick spray or aerosol oil on the bottom and a bit on the sides of the votive candle holder before putting in the candle. There is always that bit of wax left and the oil makes it easy to remove!

Enjoy your trip!

Excellent ficlet. I'd been waiting ages for something good to read, and that hit the spot.

As for teaching you something... hmm. I laughed when you wrote "how to roll a killer joint." Apparently the town I am from has the best weed in the entire world. So I have heard. Also, apparently, Snoop Dogg was the one to enforce that rumor by telling everyone that at a concert. Right now in Canada one of the most debated topics in government is whether to decriminalize/legalize marjuana. We'd make a lot of money in tourism from the United States if it became totally legal here, at any rate:P

I don't know if that actually suffices "teaching." But I don't think I have anything extrodinarily interesting for you. I will try to ponder, though.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?!

That certainly counts as 'teaching' and has made me very excited. There was a move to legalize here as well but instead they decided to up its classification to Class B or something. AND they're doing the same to mushrooms as well. Bloody Labour gov't takes all our fun.

So glad you liked the ficlet!

An absolute treasure and so wonderfully written! As for teaching, well, there are a few tips but I don't know how useful they will be to you without a garden. Here goes ( ... )

I am the person that plants hate most in the world. They seem to recoil in horror when I approach so I really appreciate all your advice!

Tomatos need to be groomed, of all things, so that they actually produce tomatos - otherwise they grow into leafy trees. Planting marigolds next to tomato plants will also attract bees who will help cross pollenate the plants.

That tip is gold, thank you so much. And thanks for commenting!
