Me too! Apparently Oxford has different ideas though.

OMG you had tornadoes? Why does Britain never get interesting weather? We are the nation of a light drizzle which is hardly a fitting string to Noble Albion's bow.

I am totally being slack with flist as well but the fandom is so lovley, they forgive every indiscretion! I just can't wait to not have anything to worry about. Work is such a pain in the arse!

Yeah, I love Oxford but I have serious doubts that the feeling is mutual. The place you described sounds like St. John's college but Tolkien went to Exeter college which is the place I applied to and was was rejected from. Damn them!

Hey, it doesn't matter that I don't know you, it just means you're a friend I haven't met yet. And if you can stomach the shameless cheese of that line then I'm sure we're destined to be friends!

Sorry to hear about Oxford but you know they will be kicking themselves in a few years time...just like all the big publishers who turned down HP and found out exactly what they had lost when bloomsbury signed the book. She went from being poor to being richer than the Queen and she was turned down a lot but in the end it was their loss. You never fail until you stop trying...
I can obviously stomach shameless cheese
