Stress

It started on the weekend. Gradual at first, I wasn't sure what to make of it. It was a pain in my left arm, just below the shoulder. I'm glad that it was "only" neuralgia, and not something worse. Sincere sympathies, though. Get better SOON!

Is it still hurting, and if so, is it still spreading? Do you get migraines (I seem to remember that you do...)?

Stress does nasty things, but if you get migraines, it might be what's called an 'atypical migraine'; something I get all the time - joy.

Either way, if it is still hurting, you could alternate hot and cold packs on it (10 on hot, 10 off, 10 on cold, 10 off) which sometimes works for me to sort of 'shock' my brain into hearing REAL messages from my body. Alternately, run something light, with a feather touch, over the same area - it amounts to the same thing - distracting your brain from the pain by giving it something else to feel (same principle as a TENS unit, but much nicer, and free!)

Good luck, and feel better!

So sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. You are under a lot of stress now so it's not surprising that it is effecting you physically. Rest, relax, practice deep breathing (from your belly not your chest), and try not to worry about things. Take care of yourself now so you will be able to take care of your family. We're sending good thoughts and prayers your way.
