pillagers; lavi/kanda, dgm au:
One day, while Kanda is visiting Lavi’s flat, Lavi catches him sneaking food out of his pantry.
Lavi sneaks up from behind, like a breeze, in the half-light, wondering what to do for a moment. He likes it when Kanda is this way. Soft, half-lit, like this light. He likes seeing Kanda busily shuffling through his dry foods, just shuffling, unawares, how Kanda says so snappily to himself, ‘Wheat Thins? That’s so disgusting.’ And then Kanda rubs his chin, just a little, enough for Lavi to tell what he is doing.
So because Kanda is planning on spending the night, he thinks Lavi is still in the loo, which means that Kanda thinks he can get away with being normal and eating whatever any other teenage male eats. Which also means Kanda is taking Lavi’s hospitality for granted.
And Lavi, being lovable and lovably horny, has a whole surplus of hospitality.
Just for Yuu.
‘Hey,’ Lavi says.
Kanda freezes, a box of something else in his hand, rocking on his toes. He says, ‘I was. Hungry.’ And then he looks back at Lavi, fringe across his eyes.
Lavi smiles. He grins. He does everything that should make Kanda rethink himself. He is in Kanda’s face by the time Lavi says anything clear. ‘We should eat dinner. Together.’
Kanda opens his mouth, and Lavi leans in closer, breathing his toothpaste breath on Kanda’s lips. They mouth something to each other, only for their own secretiveness, and then Lavi snakes his hand out to close the door to the pantry, Kanda silently but very very willingly helping him along into the darkness.
Then they touch each other where it feels like they are dying for each other. Touching. Breathing. Touching god touching. They are only eighteen. But their touching, they feel their eighteen is an eternity.
This is the only place in time that Kanda will ever hold Lavi like this. And there is no more to spare. No more.
