Woo! Thank you! I was so scared when I opened the envelope because it was really thin, so I thought there would be a letter in there that said, "Too bad, so sad." But instead there was an excellent surprise and I am elated!
Now I am trying to follow your lead by finding an excellent job that I love. Right now I'm working on a memo for a criminal appeal and I have to say that I am totally interested in becoming a prosecutor eventually. I was told that since I have an appellate clerkship I should look for some kind of "big law" job for next year because it will look better on my resume. What are your thoughts on that?
of course you did, sweetheart. i don't think any of us had any doubt! stil, it was a difficult feat, you went through it with all the things going on in your life. congradulations and kudos!
no. i decided that i wasn't ready. i may have the grades and i may be able to pull off a fantastic score, but i will be much younger than many of the b-school students. it's a sign that i just don't have that much experience. and, also, i would like to do well on my gmat. and six weeks isn't going to cut it. so i'm going to do it next spring and apply next fall. the only reason i might push it back even later if i get a job in an investment bank or something like that. but the likely chance that i will get a job in an investment bank or something, so i will likely apply next fall.
