Bill was a cool guy, he was always nice to me even though I was just lowly part-time help. ^_^ And he never talked down to me like I was an idiot, which the GameStop people did the only time I ever encountered them. (I still can't get over the time they were all there and they were amazed that I was alphabetizing the games and cleaning things. Um, hello, that was my job, duh!)
All the extra paperwork was ridiculous and half of it made me feel like a criminal. Having to open my tiny purse to be checked every time I left the store, just in case I might be smuggling out an Xbox or something in it, was pretty degrading even though it was just you guys having to do it. It's basic psychology- if you treat all your employees like they are stealing from you, eventually, they will think they might as well give it a shot. I can't even begin to imagine how much employee theft there might be at GameStops. What's to stop the employees on duty from signing the paperwork to say someone's bags were checked even if they didn't do it?

Mike and Dave, I know you wrote these words two years ago. But to read them today gave me a real sense that I was doing something right. I have always thought that people who were willing to give effort deserved every iota of opportunity. Both of you always gave me maximum effort. because of how things went down, i never got the opportunity to thank you for how well you did your jobs.
