"It's like listening to a spastic 8 year old take turns telling you about what he did that day."

Hey, credit where it's due. You asked me for a blurb to promote your blog, and that's what I sent you. If you're going to use it out of the context intended, I still deserve to have a byline.

Weird. The computer logged me out in the process. That was me.

I think I liked it for the CGI of them actually transforming and flying through the air and fighting... although the fighting was very frustrating because one had a hard time seeing what was going on for all the close up CG...

I even sat in the theater thinking, "this plot is SO DUMB"... but I left with a smile on my face because I loved the dorky CG.

I think it also bugged me for the human factor of the whole thing... I wanted more robots warring against each other.

Idiocracy truly is the scariest movie I have seen in years. It completely terrifies the living shit out of me!

HA, HA, HA!

I just saw Idiocracy this weekend. I know what you mean, on both counts. No, I haven't seen it. No, I'm not going to waste my time on it just so I can say I did actually see it and can rightfully complain, either. Just like I didn't go see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or The Fast and the Furious, or Stomp the Yard, or The Scorpion King or...

urgh.

One time, when I was like 18 or 19, I went to see a movie playing in the discount theater in Fresno. It was $3, and I went with a friend to go see ROBOT JOX on their suggestion.

I'm STILL FUCKING PISSED about wasting that $3.

Hey, that's how I felt about Stargate, which I saw for free! I'm still mad about it, too!

Dunno...I figured it was Sam's story about learning sacrifice...at least that's what I got out of it.

But I'm obviously biased :P

That is one of the half dozen plots ham fistedly crammed in there.

More of a theme than a plot, but whatever.

I more or less just went into this as if it were a big popcorn movie, much like ID4 and Jurassic Park, and on all of those merits, it delivered for me.

I'm not denying it's thin plot and mistakes...I just enjoyed the film.
