It was kind of like the time I tried to read that essay by Gertrude Stein about genius and why there aren't a lot of them. I only read a little and was tired and didn't really want to do the work and I felt bad because it was something that I wanted to know. I felt bad not wanting to know and know at the same time. If everyone was as witty and intelligent as my favorite person with a J name, then blogs would be a very magical thing. I stand corrected in my previous statements regarding the internet's championing of mediocrity via things such as blogs and internet publishing sites for books--side note: my grandmother wrote a book that she finally got published on the internet and reading it only reinforced the above assertion for me, as did reading her second book, published the same way. I will concede to you that blogs are some king of great silver shiny star-like beacon of democracy. Maybe I just have a problem with democracy, okay? I mean, what's the big whup about that shit?
