I have not been updating here because I have been doing my Victorian Literature blog, and loving all over my tremendous girlfriend. In some way it seems sad, in others I don't mind neglecting this after so many updates blogged

i was wondering if you'd like to mentor a couple youth at the magazine this year to help them articulate and reconstruct their personal essays/ feature stories/ artist statements. last year most of our volunteer mentors were a little bit older and i really think some youth responde better to mentors who are more peers than authority figures.
it's basically a two-hour/ week commitment from Oct. 17- June 5. the youth pitch their stories before winter break and jump on that shit when they get back from vacation. you could pick which youth you wanted to mentor (out of the 18 youth staff)...
