PS: Good luck with your paper. :) Considering how much has been written about men's fascination with f/f there is still much to catch up when it comes to slash. Damn, I recently had a discussion of Youtube with two fanatic Christian girls who were in complete denial about the slash/Yaoi thing ab just wouldn't believe millions of girls and women love it. *sigh*

So, exactly what kind of academic paper are you working on, here?

The paper is for a course called Perversion in which we discuss theories on sexuality (Freud, Foucault etc...) and use modern Japanese literature and media as our example texts. My presentation and paper will be on yaoi mainly, and I wanted to bring in another aspect (English equivalent- slash fanfiction) to compare and contrast. I thought it would be great to have some statistics from the major source of fanfiction- LJ :D :D

I am also from F!S and OMG I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR COURSE. *__* Haha, I totally have an academic interest in perversion, but people only ever seem to meet my pornographic interest in perversion. IT'S PRETTY TRAGIC.
