Having taken two years of university French after just grade ten French, I have to say that a language institute or community college is probably the way to go. I don't feel like I really learned anything in my pre-university university classes. Most people taking that level of French are probably doing it just to get their credit, and so there's no real passion there. Plus, taking one class at a uni means that you will probably still have to pay some of those registration fees we all know and love. Unless you want to take some other uni courses, I would guess that a language instittute would be your best bet.

good luck!
