i can't even imagine that they'd let the chaplain (referenced in the other links on the snopes page) on board after the official pull back at the gate, no matter that it returned to the gate. (and at busy ATL, would that gate even be free at that point?) i'd think that would pose even more of a security risk. sure before 9/11 you could easily swap flights at the laguardia gates for shuttle flights between nyc and boston (delta and usair shuttles & they even had an unpublished bonus extra flight at rush hours to BOS), but that disappeared after 9/11 ( ... )
