Isn't 3% rather conservative for a long term RRSP?

It is a cost-benefit thing. I just feel like maybe I should be putting it to more pragmatic things, like say buying a real desk or a dresser. (I haven't bought much furniture since I moved.) I'm currently leaning towards the camera though.
