I keep seeing this story pop up on CNN (the t.v. version, not just online). People keep using the argument that this will cause accidents as people swerve or slam on the brakes. HOWEVER, if the drivers were paying attention and going slow in a school zone ANYWAY, then they would see this amorphous blob start to take shape in front of them GRADUALLY. They would then react appropriately, one would hope.
You know, my job does see heartache, pain, and suffering the likes I would never wish on anyone. I also see the true comical idiots that somehow slipped through evolution. When I am with a patient or someone who has any other sort of emergency, that person is my focus and priority. I treat, I do not judge. I'm not going to lie, after I am done and on my way, there are times I think "What the hell were they thinking?"
