this feels sort of affected but I'm blaming the book I finished

Kind of a long absence - lost my phone for three weeks, got it replaced, had the wireless go down for half a week or so, got it back, have been dragging myself to the gym, a prospect I am often repulsed by (I have never been and can't see becoming one of those people that gets a "runners high" or any such thing) but force myself into, want to go to ( Read more... )

Ender's Shadow first, I think.

I mean, if you want to get into the xenobiology and philosophical stuff, head down the Speaker for the Dead route.

But if you want to follow Bean and what happens to Peter and Earth and deal with less science-fiction, then Ender's Shadow is definitely the way to go. Personally, I prefer Bean's storyline more than Ender's.

Anyone can get "runner's high" if they keep at their exercise long enough, it's purely physiological. It'll probably take a year of comittment though, it took me even longer I'd say.

If you saaay soooo - I've been exercising semi-regularly since last winter break though, and I've never felt more than a sort of "good I made myself do it" thing - my dad barely works out at all and he hates it but he still gets that sort of endorphin rush. We'll see, I suppose
