just saw the Bri-ish version of the Office, the original Office. So much better than the shitty American one. yeah the first season or two of the American one is okay, then it just started getting ridiculous, whereas the British version keeps a sense of realism. I actually agree with you, here.

I also like that the Brit version actually has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Most importantly, the END part. 13 episodes, and the story was complete, so they were happy to let it go.

Coupling was amazing.

You should also check out Gavin and Stacey.

yah, I was against Coupling being so short, only 4 seasons .. especially when I grew to love the characters. And then I found out most successful British shows are relatively short, they don't drag on until it becomes unmarketable like American shows. That upset me for years. Now I see that it's so much better that way; I can't really tell when a show "jumped the shark" like that. It was always good, always in its prime. The Office is pretty much the only thing saving NBC's hide at this point, and although it's still funny the original premise of the show, a documentary about a working office, has long since been forgotten. No one would believe someone would take 6 years (and counting) of this much footage. This show definitely needs a conclusion, but you can't expect that from an American culutre riddled with A.D.D.

If I find Gavin & Stacey somewhere.
