Hey, you disabled comments on your post in nyc_cuisine, so I'm just going to comment in here instead. (Normally I'd stay out of your personal journal, but there's no way to respond to that.)

I'm deleting that post, as a.) it doesn't allow comments, and b.) it's an ad. (Pretty much any post that doesn't allow comments is going to get deleted regardless of the topic. Ads really depend on context.)

As a side note, dining_room is far from the first community to do that sort of thing; I've actually been compiling a list of other communities myself so people could have a reference, and of the 13 I've found so far, dining_room is the 13th, for whatever it's worth. You might want to update the userinfo for the community.

Anyways, I've already noted your community's name and it'll be in the "directory" I'm working on.

yeah the directory thing seems cool.

I like to think of dining_room as the first restaurant review community that doesnt include recipes and is for the entire country rather than a particular city. I think it's going to be a lot different than what the other food communities center around. :)

Well, being country-wide is definitely not usual, but most of the restaurant communities don't include recipies - ours (nyc_cuisine) doesn't and from what I've seen dc_dining doesn't either. Maybe the others do, I dunno

I just felt like making a community where anyone and everyone across the counry could come together and discuss dining out, regardless of where they live.
