Figuring out who and you can and can't trust is something you will be dealing with your whole life. Even the person you think you can trust most can turn around and break that trust. I don't get how if someone takes advantage of you because of your nonchalantness...how that is their problem? Doesn't that effect you too? Being taken advantage of is something that should be stopped or at least confronted about. People are nosey...they make it their business to know other people's business because it makes them feel better about themselves...at least that is how I feel. Sometimes though it is always good to have someone to talk to about things...no matter what it is. How is it a good thing that people don't give straight forward answers/honesty? I also don't understand how watching people win sports or what not is what growing up is? That is neato that you are stoked about your birthday...I hope it is a good one and that you fully live it up on that day!!!! The way i see it, if someone takes advantage of me because of the way I am, then I'm probably close enough to that person that they'll understand who and how I am as to not take advantage of me. If someone I don't know takes advantage of the way I am, then it's a lot more acceptable since I'm going into the situation not caring about the person's considerations. Getting taken advantage of really doesn't effect me that much, I figure most people are pretty much looking out for their own backs more than anything, so in a way it's to be expected, might as well be ready for it as a possibility. It's hopeful to think that people, especially your friends, would try and do what they think would be best for your friendship; afterall that's a part of what friends are. People do work in odd ways sometimes. I definately agree with you on the issue of people being nosey, and I've figure that if I'm ok with people knowing something then I'll tell them, but I'll keep most of what I'm up to within a select one or two.
