I watched Donnie Darko yesterday. On the 9th minute, when the rabbit appeared, I was: wtf!? So much that I clicked pause and went to check the movie synopsis on imdb.com because, seriously... Now I've seen the whole movie, I'm confused. I don't know if I understood the movie the way it should. I think I would have to re-watch it ( Read more... )

Hee. I felt the same way, 'cept I was watching it on a DVD player, so I couldn't access IMDB. Any particular thing you're confused about?

Well, I understood the main story but there is always a few details that take time to understand. ;)

he basically figures out a loop in time and saves himself from death to realize he is skitzo (sees the bunny) at the end to give everyone their own lives he ends his.

That's the whole wonder of the movie. It leaves you wondering what's going on. When I first saw it at the movies I was the same, but I've watched it a few times since and developed my own ideas about it. Which aren't quite the same as the official ones! lol.

Directors Cut is coming on late this year.

Yes, everyone has pretty much their own interpretation. I think I need to re-watch it.
