I have no idea why I haven't been around el-jay this week! I guess I've just been preoccupied with other things. Had a lot going on at school... am also addicted to poupee girl more than I really want to admit

I totally agree with you about Kekkaishi. I just finished it myself and I think I'm going to continue reading the manga. I also fell in love with Gen, and when he died I was like WTF DONUTS!! I liked Yoshimori's older brother, he was great, but like you said, none of the characters in Kekkaishi really pulled me in... except maybe the bad guys... I think it's bad when you like the bad guys more than the good guys. But mainly it was just because Kaguro was voiced by my favorite seiyu... and he was crazy powerful... but whatever

Holic is one of my favoritest things in the world - manga and anime and movie. I think it's brilliant.

I'm having a bit of a slow time getting into D.Gray-man, but I expect it to start picking up. I really like the Earl though. XD

The bad guys are the best part of D.Gray-man really... and Kanda.

I guess I'll try xxxHolic again if you recommend it. I thought the animation was pretty super so... hmm.

I find Gundam 00 is a series I really need to be in the mood to watch. I saw the first two episodes and can't seem to summon the energy to go back for more. >.> Which is odd, because it's a Gundam series for crying out loud - I gobbled up Wing and Seed like there was no tomorrow. XD

Holic-wise, I actually thought the animation was ten times better than I was expecting - some of the animators really seemed to struggle with CLAMP's style in the first season. At least the motion was fluid and the faces were spot on in this episode. Maybe it's just that I'm easily pleased. :D The Alice scene irked me though. It really detracted from the mood of the whole episode, and Watanuki just doesn't look good enough in a dress to justify it as decent fanservice. Sorry, Watanuki. D: And like most anime (HI BLEACH, NARUTO), the manga will always be superior! ^_^

And Geass. Well...I find it best to sit back and let it come at you. XD Honestly, I'm not going to think too much about what the hell's going on because I know it will drive me insane. It is

Oh, and late rec! If no-one's suggested it yet, Darker than Black is awesome. Another anime where the plot might elude you now and again, but the main character is one of my favourite characters from any anime. ♥

Like I said, 00 has one of the slowest starts I've ever seen in an anime - you just kinda have to stick with it.

YES @ THE ALICE THING! It was so out-of-place and random; it might work well in another, lighter episode, but right then it was just ". . . um." But I think Watanuki has the potential to look hot in a dress though. Just not that one.

I'm kind of jealous, I don't have the time (or honestly any desire) to get back into anime these days. I started watching xxxHolic just b/c that's one series I do still love, but yeah the first episode wasn't too thrilling, I barely watched it. Sigh.
