well, it wasn't msn. rather, a no good idiot who lives in a basement with his mother, and has nothing better to do with his life than to generate a virus.

Haha, right.

They don't know who they are messing with, I can get rid of anything I get and then some :)

The virus should at least be a challenge to remove.

Oh, it's ok :)

I'm pretty decent at flushing out stuff. I went in and removed everything and the backed up my files. My computer is running well again!

You should do a search on the virus, and try and figure out a patch. Or, you could defragment you hardrive to cleanse it out.

I hope that works.

I got one recently from what seemed like a normal link in somebody's IM. It said something like "help me fix this pic" and, given that I know the person, I clicked it. It didn't even ask me anything - it just messed up my buddylist and shit. D: Luckily, my brother is a genius so he fixed it all nice and pretty again.

Well, it's good you got rid of it. I think it's going through all messengers except yahoo!

Your brother is a good man :) I know how to get rid of viruses but they are a pain. You have to search all your files and find fragments...all that good stuff. It's just infuriating to have go through the whole process of it.

eek! Wht exactly does the Virus do? I mean, does it ruin yer PC? is it spyware?

I'm sorry your PC got it There's actually a new MSN calle MSN Live Messenger Beta, it's currently in beta stage, but looks awesome. offline messaging, file transfer system e.t.c.

The little bugger, from what I saw, only stops you from using messenger, and it controls it. It sends friends messages for them to upgrade and then they get infected. I believe it is a version of malware.

Did you see the beta from msn, itself? If not, it could be a trap. There was a beta msn meesenger going around that was a virus a while ago.

Yay! I fixed it by uninstalling all the msn and internet related program files. I even made a patch. Haha, the virus doesn't give me enough credit.
