Washington State has recently passed a completely ridiculous law that prevents smokers from having their own rights as well as establishments from having their own rights. nah, it won't hurt businesses except cigar shops, which will be getting a license. Take the pub down here by College st. They've been booming ever since they opened up, and they're nonsmoking. Same goes for _every_ nonsmoking pub in California (which used to be the state with the most smokers).

I have the same problem with the smokin ban that I have with the seat belt law. It is more government control pure and simple. Sure I care about the businesses, and I like having a smoke when I drink. But the steady chipping away at our right to make choices for ourselves is what offends and frightens me. Civil Liberties are down the shitter
