Overtime

When I said the other day that Martindale's been working almost around the clock since the bushfires broke out in order to get those emergency payments out to those affected by the fire, I wasn't kidding. There's no reason you *both* need to be sleep deprived. You could just wake back up for him when he comes in, couldn't you?

For me, waking up a short while after I've gone to sleep is worse than not going to sleep at all. Anyway, he'd not eaten since lunchtime at that point. I wanted to make sure he had a nice hot meal waiting for him when he got home at 11:30pm. Seems only fair.

Yep, I do. My sleep level isn't the issue - it's fine. It's poor tired frazzled Martindale, and the fact that I've hardly seen him for more than an hour or so late in the evening for over a week.

At least it's exhaustion for a good cause, and I assume he will be paid for all his overtime which would not be a bad thing either.
