The class is neat though. We are talking about William Buttler Yeats. His poems can get fucked up, especially with how hard they are to decifer. I have to have a shit ton of notes on him prepared ( Read more... )

you better rock balls in your english class or I will never forgive you.
on a side note: I had a friend at baylor who always called people dolts. he was kind of an ass. But your delivery is much better.

Well clearly I am the best and he can suck a nut.
I will try my best in the english class but I do not do so well with time limits so this midterm might end me.
I got an 87 on my first assignment though, and I think I at least passed on the graded debate thing.

So far so good young zakarias. Keep up the dazzling work or I will be forced to equalize you. I don't make the rules.

Seriously, I miss the flappers...

Yeats can be pretty neat. At least until he got old and bitter and conservative. But man, "The Second Coming." "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity." indeed! Blessed Irish fellow.
Plus he wrote about Irish faeries, so that's cool too I suppose.

I just had a graded arguement on that poem in class today. The people in my group were all kind of slow though and instead of debating tried to make it into one big group "Well we thinks i means..." I wanted to claw my eyes out.

fuck group work so hard.
I always hated working with other people who I knew weren't going to be willing to solve the problems and it always made me feel awkward.

except when we worked in a group in English freshman year. because working in a group meant eating chips and watching the Odyssey, or whatever movie it was that had the Jim Hennson puppets.

wooo, walkin' down memory lane!
