I am in the middle of watching Westworld (thank you Netflix), and early in the movie they make the statement that the resort costs $1,000 a day. That got me thinking... Is not that less than people typically pay for a typical resort-style vacation today? Like going to Hawaii and staying at a beach-front hotel, eating in restaurants for all your

Figuring for inflation since '73, that "$1000 a night" would put it somewhere between http://www.altamer.com/ (for the more expensive) and http://www.sandylane.com/ (for the "cheaper") in terms of cost.

I haven't done the resort thing personally, but from a quick poke around, most of the "upscale" ones look at around 300-500 a night for the hotel itself. That can probably go up a fair bit if you start adding eating out and entertainment (of various kinds) to the mix.

you've been in my thoughts lately. While listening to my music collection, sometimes a song just really makes me think of a person, so i'll stick that song in a playlist, and hopefully once I have enough songs I can make them a cd. When a while back a band called Arab Strap (their from ireland) had a cool traditional song that i thought you'd like .. but then yesterday I was listenign to a song titled "Subrosa" .. but that slike hard rock .. haha i worry your cd will be very weird

Well, hard rock works for me. I am a dyed in the wool Led Zeppelin fan after all. Can you email me the songs? It would be cool to listen to them.

I like Blackbird III the best. I always like crows and ravens. They feel like siblings to me.
