Since I haven't been catching up with people for a while (but I will!), I want to ask a certain lady with a camera, whose name begins with "B," how she feels about the city we both love, New Orleans, and has she been there since? My ex-husband was there recently, helping out, and I got to hear all about it.

my heart was/is broken. the whole situation. the loss of so much that was essential to the place as a whole. just bad bad bad. all around. i am thinking about christmas time, going again. if nothing else, to put some $$ into the place. i wish i could go help. but i don't know how. and have a job and debt and a girl still at home. i did this: http://www.cobaltika.com/gallery/nolaHelp.html - a tiny tiny effort. but mostly i would just like to go get my hands dirty and do something Real. i still read a lot about it every day, trying to keep up with the whole rebuilding, etc.
