[Jumping a little when he hears the voice speak, Oz looked to the Dreamberry with a slightly horrified look before he grabbed it from where it had been sitting.
Like hell he'd admit that dream was based a LOT off of things that had happened to him with a few differences, his imagination just twisting it to make it worse]
[Those words stop him short. He hates admitting to people he barely knew his inner thoughts about this so he keeps it all short and to the point so it doesn't give too much away.
[Kobato had stumbled onto this by accident when she dropped her DreamBerry, but she saw wanted to make her cry as she gripped the phone tighter. she looked down, her once happy face full of one of concern and slight sadness mixed in. She wasn't sure what to say, if she should say anything at all. After all she had seen a dream, something private, she shouldn't butt in, right?]
[At hearing her voice, he does hesitate for a moment before grabbing the dreamberry. Up close, his skin is deathly pale and though trying to hide it, the dream had shaken him up rather visibly.
He's hardly even able to muster a smile as it is. Though the effort it takes to put one on and act fine is certainly impressive in itself considering what the dream had been.]
I... I'll be fine... really!
[It's what Oz is waiting to hear; for her to call him insane for having dreamt that. Something so dark.. insane..twisted. After all, his mind had never been a sane place to begin with but this is the first anyone's seen it..]
[Kobato, wiped her eyes for a moment. It was something so sad to see, something she really couldn't understand herself. But to her it appeared to her that maybe...he had a heart that needed healing, maybe, just maybe. If this was the case she knew what she had to do and that was to help.
She soon removed her hand from her eyes, before at least putting on a smile.]
That's good. But, if you need a friend, I'll be there, okay?
[To know that instead of revolting her, he'd moved her to tears was enough to shake him slightly and he feels a bit bad after the fact. Not that he's able to comment on it at the moment, rendered a bit speechless briefly before blinking a bit at her words.
That and what she'd offered him, after all.
He had few friends in this world; something he needed more of and would likely help with nightmares like this. Normally he kept his problems to himself but right there... in that dream his vulnerabilty was clear as day and he couldn't hide that.]
...I wouldn't want to bother you, Kobato.
[It's clear; he wants someone here but it's not easy for him to voice it, the emotions clear in his eyes instead]
[...That had been scary. She sat there, shaking slightly with the Dreamberry in her hands. It was like watching a train wreck - something she couldn't stop watching, even though her whole body was fighting against it.
[Nightmares usually winded anyone but knowing she'd seen it as well was something else entirely. He can hear how her voice sounds and he hesitates a small moment before finding his own]
...Ah...I...should be asking you that.
You shouldn't have had to... ...something like that..
[With recent events back home before his arrival, nightmares like that had been more frequent but he'd been lucky that this was the first that had been broadcasted. Not that it was something he would admit to easily though.
Though at her words, he doesn't answer for a brief moment as he glances down shortly and away from the dreamberry]
It was.
...It was worse experiencing most of it the first time.
[For the longest time-- she stares. Her eyes had been glued on the dream the entire time; horrified, but unable to turn away from it. Because it's not just a dream to her, no matter what her brother says. Her instincts tell her differently and maybe she's wrong, but she can't shake the feeling. Those people... the cloaks... the words... it all reminded her of the stories of her youth. Of the Abyss.
And when she remembered what happened before she came here...
Did... Oz have to kill someone? How... how could she support him? What could she do for him? It obviously weighed on him heavily, so she couldn't simply ignore it. She loved her brother no matter what happened. But how did she let him know that and support him? Could she? Was she strong enough? Could she help him?
When she finally got over her indecisiveness, she forced herself to respond. But her face gave away many of her emotions.]

No matter what happens, you'll always be my big brother.
[Maybe it's silly but... she wants him to know that... no matter what happens, it won't change her feelings. He could never make her think less of him. And maybe he isn't her 'big' brother anymore, but he'll always be so to her. Things as she remembers them were... dangerous and frightening. She too wanted to fight
