Awe, poor Sakura. All she wants is the love the other teams show for each other!!!
I can relate to how she feels about her and the boys. It's hard being the only girl, and getting frustrated you work so hard and aren't as good as them...poor girl.

I'm glad that you could relate to Sakura. And yes, this is a particularly frustrating time for her.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

This was a great chapter. It was really nice to see that even with an older, wiser version of herself in her head there to help her, Sakura still has real probelms (stamina) and that she can still be hurt and feel failure. It's good to have a protagonist who isn't perfect. One who has flaws is easier to empathize with.
The dream sequence was a great peek into Kakashi's psyche. The fear of having to kill his students and the guilt of being a survivor came through very well (the first two thirds of this story made me tear up)
It's cute that Tenzo offered free food to make sure that Kakashi would let his students go on time that day :) But I'm very interested in hearing their conversation.

Also, it was quick mention, but it peaked my curiosity. You mentioned that Sakura is working hard to keep her promise to Itachi, whom she convinced (to kill part of his clan an leave?) to 'ruin his life'. Veeeeerrry Interesting.
You've definitely sucked me in deep with this story, I always check for updates. Can't wait for more!

*beams* You are just so wonderfully nice as a reviewer. And cunningly attentive. I'm really flattered that you like this story so much!

I'm glad Sakura's flaws are starting to come across and be sympathetic. She has flaws but, like most people, she doesn't sit around and number them for casual readers. (I hate it when writers just info dump things like that onto me.)

And I'm glad that Kakashi and his issues came across sympathetically too. (It's such a huge compliment to hear that you teared up!

Tenzo is super sneaky. *nods*

As for the Sakura/Itachi connection... you shall have to wait and see. ^_~

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

This chapter made me unbelievably sad. Team 7 seems so broken. I can't wait to find out if Tenzo has words with Kakashi.

I'm glad this had an emotional impact.

*nods* Team 7 has many Issues in a surprising variety of size, shapes, colors, and textures.

As for Tenzo and Kakashi... ^_~

This was a faaaantastic chapter! Probably my favourite so far. I love how Yamato gets so flustered over Sakura's flirty line (such a hottie cutie). Also, the development in this chapter was wonderful - Kakashi is such a dope sometimes.

Can't wait for the next part!

I'm so glad that you liked it! And I'm glad that Yamato's flustered cuteness came across.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

The Ino/Sakura relationship is cute--rivals, yet bestest friends. When you showed that Sakura's opinion means a lot to Ino I melted inside. I love those girls.

Poor Tenzo. Is there a single appropriate response to a 12 year-old flirting with you? I like that it calls back to canon-Sakura's obsession with boys when she was 12. It helps show that even with a Hokage in her head, Kid Sakura survived, which is nice.

I am curious as to what she's been doing for the last (six?) years. Obviously not physical conditioning, so medical jutsu and seals…? *curious reader muses* But there must have been a reason for Tsunade and Jiraiya to have not trained her physically. Hmmmm.

Mysterious.

I’m definitely, positively not going to cry over stupid Kakashi being disappointed in my skills as a shinobi. I did all of my crying over stupid Itachi and stupid Nagato and those stupid dreams. I’m not a crier any more.Oh Itachi, what did the evil fic writer do to you this time? I can't wait to see! He angsts so pretty, like a butterfly of angstiness ( ... )

I love Ino/Sakura too! So, so much! There should be more of them everywhere in the fandom!

Poor Tenzo. Is there a single appropriate response to a 12 year-old flirting with you?

Probably not! ^_^ (Tenzo does an amazing job of being the Embodiment of Stiff Upper Lips. He does flustered and put-upon so well!)

SQUEE!! You are all over my 'subtle' character references, validating them and stuff! SQUEEE!!

You are also all over my sannin-style clues about what Sakura did during her apprenticeships. That is all I can say about that.

Itachi is *so* the Butterfly of Angst! No one angsts and suffers so prettily!

Sakura being physically unable to keep up with the boys disturbs me. I'm not sure why, but I think it's because I was expecting Super!Sakura, and she isn't quite there. It's an intriguing concept, and I do appreciate that she isn't light years ahead in ( ... )
