this chapter made me so happy but sad at the same time. this adorable relationship beginning with Jiraya is just perfect, but i can't help remembering that last chapter where Sakura was convinced that he hated her. now i myself am not completely sure that Sakura is reading Jiraya correctly in that chapter... but i could be wrong. any way it makes me nervous for what may be in the future.

Awwwww... As oroburos69 mentioned above, Sakura may not be the most reliable narrator. Of course, it's equally true that I like to torture my main characters. I also like happy endings, killing characters, and icees. So, uh, that might not be as encouraging as I'd meant it to be.

Another interesting chapter. So now we know how Sakura ended up apprenticing to Jiraiya.

I love the line at the end of the chapter. It reminded me of Snape from Harry Potter, since he had a similar conversation with Dumbledore in regards to Lily. Was that reference intentional?
