Ahhhh ほしのこえ! I love Makoto Shinkai's stuff and it always makes me so sad. ;A; Didn't think I'd see Mikako and Noboru's love story adapted for Onkey but it works well~ <3
I'm also in the middle of drafting an off-to-war oneshot. Not Onkey though. :9
Oh God, my heart. ♥ Poor, poor Jinki, left waiting for someone he isn't even sure is still alive.
I really liked the beginning where he checked his phone in the morning to no new messages, and how it seemed so normal, until the rest of the story explained just how significant that was.
And God, the ending. Just when he thinks he should maybe move on, bam. ;-; And the time difference!
I have to say the time difference was what got me into Voices of a Distant Star in the first place. Such a contrast to the instantaneous communication we have right now.
oh, this was just really lovely. all i know is just wow, my heart feels like a mess. you hinted at it perfectly when you mentioned that kibum started taking dance lessons after an interest in robotics, but i never thought it would get to that point. poor jinki, waiting for so long, and the time it takes to receive a message is especially haunting. and again, wow, this is beautiful.
I was talking to a friend earlier about it, and apparently in the manga version it's less obvious that she dies at the end? But it never shows them reuniting anyways so >:
Haha I meant to leave that ambiguous, because I'm not convinced that she dies at all, although my friend is so >: I didn't realize they reunited. Thanks for telling me that (but the age difference, haha. Didn't really think about that...)

Ah man. My friend said they reunite but the age difference is still very significant.
T.T now I really have to read it..
Wait!!! Does that mean you're implying that Kibum died in your story?
:o
...regardless I still really like your story :3
