Facing the Day

Man why is that the lady's issues really hit me between the aorta and my heart? I know that I was a feminist freedom fighter in a past life or maybe a witch burned at the stake. The issue I'm writing about isn't just a woman's issue, women's issues never are ( Read more... )

Oh Josh, I wish I wish I knew you better... Anytime I ever read anything of yours I find myself either inspired, delighted, exhilirated, touched, or on the floor laughing. You are simply one of my favorite people saying anything out there right now and I hope you keep it up.

Hey Josh,

Thank you, that means a lot coming from you Josh Z. I wish we lived closer so we could have some chatty time and I could say "Josh" and you could say "Josh" and we could emphasize different parts of the sound "osh."

I have been reading all of your posts as of late and they are so cathartic and focused. I seriously wish a third of your bravery on the good people out there...I really do wish you well on your way to another day man. YOU keep it up Josh.

XO

wow. seriously. i don't even know how to react to that.

i'd bet a decent amount of money that a large number of senators and congress critters don't believe in it. at the very least, they are indifferent to it what i would give to be a fly on the wall, watching them mock the demo that they pander to. this doesn't exonerate them, but probably compounds how sad and pathetic they are.

a majority of americans don't agree with this insanity. it will take some time, but something's gotta give. call me naive, but i think this.

I agree with you Eryana, I know that these people are a fringe group pandering to some heinous (but uncommon) ideas about reproductive rights and the "Queer Agenda" but everytime there is a new development with something like this it never ceases to tug at me a bit.

Like today. As my friend Nona and me were driving back from her apartment we drove past the entrance of our very ornate private Catholic university and there were a dozen or so protesters with signs reading: "Fags Burn IN Hell, Hate the Sinner Not The Sin" and "This 'Catholic' University Allows Homosexuality". I know these people are simpletons at best but their antics in the year 2006 are still disgusting and attention getting and I get mad at myself for walking into their trap everytime.

This post is more of a guttural reaction, but YES the best parts of me believe that America will tire of this nonsense and that every American no matter how conservative knows or loves at least one fag.
