Anna made the show better, along with, ya know, our boys actually TALKING a little bit...
Oh, I like Anna a lot. Great look when listening to the voices. And YAY for her giving us the info about the 66 of 600 seals instead of it being pieced out in clunky dialog. Oh! Is she a psy-kid? That whole first scene was terrific. Go Anna!
I'm still convinced that the Raimi-proximity to show is affecting the camera angles in a good way. Keep it up, y'all! Let the Raimi shine down upon you and we shall all bask in it's glory.
"Oh, I forgot, I'm wearing a pediatrician." Nice one, Alis..tair?...dair? Whichever! You're the only other white-eyed demon we've seen! Neat! Does that mean you're on a level with Lilith? He did get to play with Dean in Hell...
So, Dean knows the demon. OK, that's interesting, but see, I'm still not happy that Dean has *all these hell memories* that we don't get a glimpse into. Why? I wanna know.
Here's some stream of consciousness: Sam trusts Ruby because she saved his life, and all that backstory/flashback stuff. OK, I can see why. So, the pious demons want Sam alive. He found that out when he tried to make a deal for Dean. That means there's a split in the demon group, and Lilith is on the opposite side of that. (Right?) So Ruby pretended to work for Lilith so she could come back up topside and help keep Sam alive. So, theoretically, she could just be working for the pious demon side and isn't actually a total fugitive at all. Which means she could still theoretically be a bad guy.
I still don't like the new Ruby. I wish that "Some secretary" ruby could have been the actress for this season, 'cause I liked her a lot more in her 5 minutes of screen time. Also, I want her jacket, please.
Maybe I would have more sympathy for her if I liked the actress more. Hrm...
I'm not gonna be OK with Sam and Ruby having sex no matter what. Fine storytelling, good emotional reasoning, I even buy that it could happen, but I just don't like it and never will. So, that's that.
* do not like Ruby saying peachy. I see what they're doing there, and it's a sledgehammer after Sam outright said that Ruby said/did what Dean would have. That sledgehammer begs the question - clunky writing or a tip that Ruby is deliberately trying to sound like Dean because she knows that it will endear her to Sam? I'm thinking clunky writing, and that it was supposed to hammer home to Dean that Ruby was kinda like him.
And finally: I love you Castiel. So wild eyed. So earnest. So morally ambiguous to us human types! Your friend though? Still a big ole wet blanket.
