On Thursday afternoon Jem and his dad were "walking the dog" on their bicycles. They were a block away from home and Jem wasn't wearing his helmet. Anyway, Linden has a few quite steep streets and Jem was going down one and doing tricks on his bike at the same time ( Read more... )

Scary! Heather told me tonight. Kat & I are glad he's doing better. I hope the recovery continues well - and that you lot are coping ok.

Heather wanted to know if she could visit tomorrow morning. I guess if he's in ICU still that's out - will he be in general ward by then?

Oh man, how distressing for all of you! I hope he's okay and his recovery keeps going well. Crossed fingers, toes, thumbs, everything.

Hang in there and lots of good thoughts winging their way to you guys.

On a related note, I went to school with prof. Snickers' son (sp?) He was in the year below me. I'm pretty sure it's the same prof Snyckers.

He told me the story of his son jumping off a swing and breaking both of his wrists. If you know this story then this is definitely the same person ! The prof seemed to be in his mid 60's which would probably be the correctish age.
