Thanks for the good thoughts.

We used to ride our bikes and skateboards without helmets on as kids, as you say, and no one ever got hurt - yes roasties from falling off etc., but never anything like this. Just lucky I suppose.

Yes, my mother still have gravel in her one knee from running down a street, slipping and falling. All to impress a boy!

It's nice though that you can trust the prof - I'm sure he knows what he's talking about :)

Now we just have to get through the exams. A daunting task as he has missed a great deal of school work. He lost more than a week in hospital and 2 weeks prior to that he had bad gastro and stayed in bed for a week as well.

He seems to be studying hard but you never know!

Maybe I should confiscate the blackberry for the duration as this seems to be a great distraction. He says that he puts his phone of while studying. I'm not so sure. Teenagers all think that their parents weren't young once and that you have no idea what they are up to whereas they are quite transparent.

Ho, is he in for a surprise.
