I am looking up Paella recipes and I came across this one:

From a South African site : "To tenderise the calamari - moer it with any heavy object you have to hand; this is a sure-fire way of ensuring it stays soft and succulent."

The poor calamari wouldn't dare be anything else.

Now where did I put my heavy bobbejaan spanner?
