The main thing I took away from this story is the thought of how much potential there is to the story you could tell. Suicide is a heavy subject. Writing it into a fan fiction, even though Ringo's passing isn't going to make up the entirety of this story, it's a major part of it. A very important part all the same. I know that you won't treat it lightly. I can already tell from this first chapter that you'll handle that theme well and realistically as possible

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I do look forward to your insight.
And thanks for the vote of confidence. Suicide and/or the after math for those left behind is not easy to write. You know my obsession with Ringo's attempt very well, but the idea of him being successful in it is something only briefly touched on once. But in the spirit of 'change one thing, everything changes' it will most certainly be a major background thing. It's not the main focus, but it drives everything

It's timeless. There is a difference between truth and confirmed truth. Confirmed truth is the one that hurts the most. Confirmation can't be explained away/bartered/reasoned with. Ugh. And she's correct, death is for the dead... the consequences stay with the living. It doesn't matter whether he meant it, it HAPPENED. He's done and at peace. She's left to live with the consequences
