Thanks for commenting and sticking with this through a wait.

Regarding Maureen and Cynthia and their roles - I think it will be situation based, who is more stern and who more lenient. Somethings Maureen will be a soft touch on, others Cynthia. The boys are young enough that they'll transition well, even Julian who is on the verge of 7 at this point. Zak and Jason are almost always gonna know this as normal so that will be helpful. It's not easy to blend families but they will manage and have so far because they are of similar backgrounds (working class Northern girls, both former wives of VERY famous men, etc) and having a good base relationship now will make it easier when they do become more than friends. Especially on their kids.

That couple was the surest thing I knew going into this chapter that there would be some nosy neighbors. While the press/public/fans wouldn't normally give the wives that much notice (some obviously but not more than a passing 'oh'), because of the circumstances of Ringo's death, the public is much ( ... )

I'm curious to see what brings them together. It could be any number of things. I wonder if it'll be the big trigger that gets the ball rolling on that part of the relationship develop. No rush, of course. I know it takes time and especially when it's two women for who all intents and purposes haven't experienced a same sex relationship and living in the era they do it's nothing something just easily jumped into.

Healing can manifest itself in many ways, yes, as can grief. And healing won't be all in one piece for Maureen. She'll heal and grieve in stages as the story progresses ( ... )
