Curiosity had let Kamui into the store (sure, he'd said he'd wait for Subaru, but...), though he found the entire place odd and... well, he didn't like it. Not that it stopped him from buying an ice pop from one of the freezers; he was in the mood for something sweet, after all, and maybe the frozen confection would ward off his craving for blood for a bit.
Now, though... now it was time to find Subaru. Or maybe not, since Subaru was, well, right there in front of the store. Where they were supposed to meet in the first place. His darling twin HAD always been reliable, after all. "Subaru..." he called, pace more of a jog as he ran up behind his twin, arms wrapping around him. He would have said more, really, but... the pop was currently occupying his mouth.
"Kamui..." Subaru jumped, as his twin caught him from behind, then frowning, "Otouto... where did you get that?" He asked, giving the odd treat that Kamui was sucking on a speculative look.
"If you wait a moment, you can meet Ulquorria-san- I wanted to introduce you two..." Subaru added, patting Kamui's head a little.
"The store," Kamui said simply, tone dismissive, as he pulled the pop out of his mouth to lick it. Sure, the place had as weird vibe, but he was fairly certain it wasn't like the treat was poisoned or anything. "Why?"
He sat next to his brother, sides touching, leaning against him a little. "This Ulquorria... a good person?" Not that Kamui would take his brother's word for it. He would have to decide if he was acceptable himself. There would be no more mistakes like letting Seishirou close to them again.
Subaru frowned, a little, tempted to pull the pop away from his brother, "...I'm not sure it's safe to eat... the things in there... seem to be cursed, somehow..."
"Ulquorria-san is..." Subaru paused, "...I think... he wants to be a good person... he just doesn't seem to know how... or what a good person is..."
Thinking about it, Subaru could think of a great deal to describe his new friend: Quiet, contemplative, analytical, melancholy, serious, calm, serene, quick-witted, sharp... but what did that MAKE him, as a person... or, Subaru supposed, an Arrancar- as neither he nor Ulquorria were human.
