Homeboy and I just put his kids on the plane to their mother's home this morning, a few states away. We have no idea when we'll see them next. Homeboy is so sad. As usual.

This is territory I now understand in a new way.

I know that there are no words that can provide real comfort right now. All I can offer is deep sympathy.

I can't imagine the pain of your kids choosing not to live with you for now. I'm so sorry.

I cleaned my ass off all day Sunday only to have a stupid disagreement about being paid for it (they insisted, I declined, mild awkwardness followed but I think we're cool now) but I had hella fun yesterday with the chef and am now working on my leftover white pizza with artichokes.
