Pat Conroy

I loved Pat Conroy's writing. I can't say I loved all of his books equally, but I did love many of them. He could tell a story.

He had recently posted about his cancer (another point of light lost to pancreatic cancer, as was Alan Rickman), so the news was not a surprise.

Even so, I recognize his passing with sadness.

Sorry to break in here. I loved Beach Music - it's one of my favourites. South on Broad is so heart wrenching it leaves you breathless, but for some reason Beach Music always hit home with me.

I was so saddened to see this. Pat Conroy was one of my all-time influences. His gift for descriptive writing is unsurpassed in my heart.

Sorry to learn of Pat Conroy's death. 'The Prince of Tides' was an unforgettable book.
