Just a bit of awesome news: My niece-dog, Grace, was diagnosed on Thurs. as having a cruciate ligament rupture and had to have surgery. Why is this awesome, you ask? Because her mama and I were afraid she was having a recurrence of the cancer she was treated for 4, almost 5 years ago.

She is. She's terribly jealous of Murph and anytime I visit there or Kat comes up here, Grace always comes and schmoozes up against me and leeeeeeans into my side. She is a real lovebug. I should post my favorite pic of her, where she's got Kat's kitty Manny in her jaws - Manny's now gone, but at the time he was about 7 weeks old - Grace totally adopted him, and Manny grew up believing he was a dog. (He was black, the two dogs were both black - you can understand how he thought that.)

Isn't it, tho'? Kat had a potentially ugly day staring her down Thurs. a.m. - morning appt. for Grace, afternoon dental appt. for herself - and not only did Grace NOT have cancer, but Kat didn't have to have a root canal (yet. But we're not talking about that.)
