Girly Weekend: Wicked and Marriage Equality

Jun 30, 2011 01:00

Wicked won its way into my heart from the very first time I saw it (on a DVD that gives bootlegging a bad name), and the same is true for my girls. It was wonderful to finally be able to take them to a real performance on the weekend now that Wicked has finally made it to Perth. Needless to say, they loved it even more in real life ( Read more... )

I am taking my mom to see Wicked for the first time this Friday. She has heard the soundtrack and isn't very impressed so i am hoping the play itself will win her over.

As for Glee... OMG! My daughter and I just started watching last week. We are already in the middle of S2. I am now in love with this show!!! So many people tried to get me to watch and now I'm wondering why I kept resisting!

Oh, welcome aboard!! I'm knee deep in this new fandom and actually writing a multi-drabble crossover fic at this moment! If I can help you out with with music etc, just let me know!

I love Wicked so much. The tale of the two witches is just so OTPish in the most perfect BFF kind of way. It melts my heart and brings me to tears EVERY TIME.

WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE THE FINALE!!!!!!! (awesome Glee/Wicked crossover moment)

Lovely to see you around. I've really missed you ♥

This is my Mom who lent me Holding The Man and watched QAF with me! I mean WTF!!! I think we put forward enough of a case to actually make her think about the issue rather than parrot the opinions of others.

Oh my, your daughters are awesome. Which isn't too surprising, seeing as you are their mom, but still don't you just love it when fangirling actually has a purpose in real life?

I read something the other day on tumblr which actually made me cry. A girl was writing about babysitting her 5-year-old cousin and that they were watching a repeat of Grilled Cheesus. So Kurt is in the hospital with his dad, in tears, and the little one is sad that Kurt is sad. And she says, wouldn't you be sad if your dad was in the hospital? And he goes, yes, but he isn't sad because of that, he is sad because he hasn't met Blaine yet. He will be happy again soon.

And yeah, I'm a sap and all, but omg.

Kurt + Blaine= OTP forever and ever, thanks very much.
