Rock Of Ages

I went to the movies today with my daughter and her friends, where they were also meeting two boys. My instructions were to pretend I didn't even know her! I think that failed when she left me at the candy bar with more food than I could handle, but after parting with a handful of Twisties (a savoury snack food) I disappeared into the woodwork.

Well I love me some big hair glam rock so I'm all for seeing this movie and will hopefully see the stage show at some stage!

Happy to see it a second time with you! And will probably go see it on stage now too, where twice I've passed the chance up.

I made sure to keep the post spoiler free so people like you could enjoy the surprises along the way.

I'm meant to be seeing this on Thurday, I'm looking forward to it :)
The reviews have been pretty bad...I don't put much faith in movie reviews.

I'm glad that you found it a positive experience.

I loved it. Let's face it, it's 80's glam rock cheese, and that is never going to be a critics choice... but I can see this becoming a cult classic :D

Thank you for posting this! I do hope to get to see this, but was concerned it would be Mamma Mia, take two.

*Hugs*

100% better than Mamma Mia. What a disaster of a movie! They were all in it for teh holiday, and not caring at all about the integrity of the movie musical genre.

I really can't fault this cast at all. The lead female was perhaps a little nasal for me, but her voice suited the songs she sang. Everyone brought it, and then some!! I do hope you get the chance.... do your theatres have those super cheap sessions as a movie nears the end of its run? Even if you have to wait until then, I'd say make the effort :D

I've been putting off seeing this as not much of a Tom Criuse fan but think I will have to give it a go, it sounds like a good movie.

Not a huge fan myself, but he's really more of a plot device than a leading character. Not only that, this role is so far removed from Tom Cruise, it's easy to forget it's him.

It would probably be the same thing. This is the movie version of the Broadway musical. I'd not seen the musical because I thought it might not be my thing, but I'd love to see it live now!
