Those who know me well will know I'm a hard core Gleek, and like most in my fandom I was shocked and saddened by the death of Cory Monteith. Though Finn has never been my favorite character (far from it), I had warmed to Cory in recent years as he continued to take me by surprise with his talent, both in music and in acting.

I think one of the reasons why I still couldn't quite let go of this show completely is that the cast is just so frikkin loveable and charming, and while I (as you know) have come to hate the show, or rather its makers, I could never take it out on the actors. As I was away and offline over the weekend it took me completely by surprise to see his black and white image above my email login. I was shocked. Still kind of am I have to say. It's like you end up thinking every night this must have been a dream, it just must have, but then you open your browser the next day and he is still gone

This fandom is one of the worst I've encountered for its negativity, but I must say that everything I've seen in recent days has been about drawing together and supporting one another. I haven't seen first hand the supposed hate towards Darren, Matt or Chord.

It will be very interesting to see if this changes Ryan's mind on what makes good drama!

I just don't have the words to say about this. I agree with you, whereas Finn has never been my favorite,Glee will not be the same without him there. I can't imagine a Rachel without Finn. Even if he hadn't been front and center lately, he's still a part of the core group of original cast which I will always have special feelings for no matter how many new people thy drag onto the show. My heart breaks for Lea and all his friends who have lost him.

I think Finn will always be a part of Rachel, and I'm very interested to see how they deal with it all onscreen.

Poor Lea! For most, work is something to bury yourself in when you need to forget. Or her, work will be an endless reminder.

Every time I Gotta Be Me comes on my play list I think of you because I always remember you saying "this is what he should be singing!" :-) I do think I'm about the only Gleek who didn't really like GJWHF though... lol

It's so very very sad...... :-( My heart just breaks for the entire cast....

I have to admit that I don't watch Glee but was so saddend to hear of the death of such a talented guy, my heart goes out to his fiancee, family and friends. He was way too young.

Not that many adults do watch glee (we're rare in the fandom).

It's sad to see another bright young talent go in this way :(
