An experiment in gender specific products

Those of us who shop for both the men and women in the family already know the disparity between price/quantity of women's vs men's personal care products. I've been buying men's razors for years!

As a girl who has dyed her hair since she left primary school, and as a women in her 40s who is looking for better ways to cope with the "greys", I ( Read more... )

The smell should go away after you wash your hair.
Let us know how the color holds up.
Do they have any blond shades or only dark?

How's the ketosis diet going?

I completed the treatment with a shampoo... It still smells, but not as bad as it did.

The colours come in 5 shades varying from dark blonde to brown/black.

As for the diet.... It's an ongoing lifestyle change. I love it.

What brand of coloring did you use?

Are you attempting to stay in ketosis continuously?

The brand was Schwarzkopf Men. I'll make up my mind on its effectiveness when I see how long it lasts. I'm ok with the colour and the blending.

As for the diet, yes, the aim is to stay in a state of permanent ketosis. I consume less than 50g of carbohydrate each day (but try to aim for 20-30g most days)

I smell like an old man! They should look at doing a similar product for women. I just want to tint my greys a little to blend them in. I'm sick of the all over regrowth I get from permanent hair colours.

I'll let you know in a month or so... See if it leeches or fades easily.

I'd only recently heard about the "smoother" argument. Figures they give men the good stuff, and the B grade stuff is for us to use on our legs.

With you on the men's razors. :)

As someone who has been colouring her hair for 50 years now I have wondered about the men's products. While I have do a lot of grey I not grey hair I have is reddish brown and always doubted they had anything in the men's range that would blend in. I must check it out.

The Old Spice smell is a bit off putting though. lol.

Didn't see anything in the red/brown tints. I've been dyeing so long, I'm not entirely sure what colour i really have now. One thing is for sure though, the contrast between my greys and my own hair..... HUGE

Not sure if I'll try this again, but it might win me over if it lasts well and continues to look good without obvious regrowth
