European Trip... seems wrong to call it a holiday.

This month I was lucky enough to be sent to Europe for a conference. The destination was Rome, and though it would have been lovely to have my husband with me, there was no way to make that happen for us. This resulted in me literally spending 3 hrs exploring the city on foot after hours, and leaving Italy for another visit when the conference ( Read more... )

One day I hope that a post like this will include a photo of you!

I'm a lucky girl to get to travel with someone else picking up part of the tab. Still, this trip put a sizeable dent in the back pocket. At least I got to cross something off the bucket list... For four days, I owned a VW Golf Cabriolet :)

That shot of the large cobblestones street seems to be the "money shot" of the trip. Rome is photogenic!

Fabulous pics, Steph. The war memorials are always quite moving and really make you contemplate.

On another note HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

It was an amazing trip - something I'm so glad to have done! Seeing the vast sacrifice of our ancestors (from all countries) serves as poignant reminder of why we must continue to strive for peace today.
