1. How would you describe your childhood in general? 2. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? 3. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. 4. Do you like yourself? 5. What is your earliest memory?
1. Happy, I suppose. I can't say that I ever really wanted for much. Papa would read to me at night and Mama listen to what I had to say. I have to be thankful that they allowed me to grow freely.
2. The night I discovered Wendla. That night changed my life.
3. Reading, speaking, and writing are things I feel I'm good at, while holding my tongue, respecting my elders, and keeping my temper in line are perhaps things I could be better at.
4. Why wouldn't I like myself? I'm not perfect by any means, but I do like the person I've become.
5. The first thing that I can really remember is, quite ironically, being in church. I never liked going, you see. The seats were hard, the speaker's voice was always monotonous, and I never understood why I had to be there. I suppose it was my original dislike for going that made me wonder what the point was in the first place.
1. What do you have in your pockets? 2. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? 3. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? 4. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? 5. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
2. Mama and I have always gotten along quite well. I could always talk to her about whatever was on my mind and she always listened and answered my questions with complete honesty. I've always appreciated how she's never talked down to me. I think that my father never understood that. He and I were never as close, but I think he tried.
3. I honestly can't think of one! I suppose I don't often get embarrassed. I don't really care what people think of me, after all.
4. I believe in the idea, and I think it's possible. Is it as common as everyone seems to believe? I doubt so. I also don't think that it's something that is automatically between too people. For it to be true love, I think you should have to work for it.
1. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? 2. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? 3. What is your greatest fear? 4. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. 5. What do you look for in a potential lover?
