I just started reading, too - and Deb totally laughed at me. My roommates have been obsessed for a while and made me buy a movie ticket (for last night). By Tuesday, I figured it was worth it to read book one so I knew what I was getting into to, I finished the book yesterday, saw the movie, and today I went out and bought New Moon!

Haha I have tried to explain to people that while the books themselves aren't bad overall, the author is just not a great writer. People glare at me a lot when I tell them this. My roommate said that Edward was the best written character in fiction. I had to look away so I wouldn't laugh.

Don't get me wrong, the books are entertaining, just not well written.
