This is awesome. I've discovered that I don't like TSN canon fic or RPS, but I am totally down with AUs.

I completely love the RPS, I have to admit. Jesse and Andrew are both such absolute kittens in human form--reading RPS fics about them is like getting injections of rainbows. Have you tried the apartment story by pidgeoned? It may win you over.

But, yeah, you need to be having a pretty good day to be able to read a swath of canon fic. That stuff can get daaaaark. I kinda love that too, though. I tend to stick near AUs and RPS with the occasional foray into canon fic.

Aw, that's cute. Still, not really inspired to find more. But thanks for the rec. :)

I just read this over on the kmeme from bea's recs the other day. ngl, I would have happily read 10k more words of this. ;D I love how you adapted the betrayal to this AU, which seems like a weird thing to say now that I've typed it out, but oh well.

Yeah, someone else asked me for a prequel--I've never done a prequel before. And this fic was already near the top end of length of things I've written....maybe I will do it. I dunno. :) But you're lovely to want more.

Goodness, this crossover worked better than I thought! Fucking loved it! <3 <3

"Would that be something...you'd be...interested in?" Mark finally asked. <-- This, for some reason, is just perfect. I can hear it...

Beautiful!

The idea of this particular betrayal seems so much worse than the actual betrayal in the movie. Maybe because this is more than just cyberspace, more than a social networking site where a name is missing on the masthead but this is a shared dream, ruined, because of Mark. This is Eduardo missing out on weird beautiful clouds and not being by his side as he discovers new things. Even as a fix it, that pain and anger on Eduardo's behalf still won't quite go away. I wouldn't have forgiven him that- I wouldn't have wanted Eduardo too, not until he properly fixes it. And I guess I'm still simmering in that second hand anger because the opportunity has been taken away from him and that won't go back ( ... )

That's more-or-less exactly what I was going for! The first time I saw the film, I was so thoroughly appalled by Mark and basically full of second-hand rage/hurt. But the more I thought about it--and the more times I watched it--the more I sympathized with him. It's untenable either way, right? Damned if you keep Wardo, damned if you don't.

So I wanted to keep that sense that Wardo was all wrong for the job--no matter how much he thought he wanted it--and show how that works out. And forgiving is much more heroic than anything Mark's done, right? So, in a way, Wardo wins across the board.

Your comment is so super awesome, though. I've read fics that moved me that strongly in the past and it is soul-warming that I incited that reaction in you. I'm sorry it was rage, yes, but still. Thank you for reading with such care. :)

I liked this a lot. It's not something I'm used to seeing, so it was really interesting and new. I haven't seen any Star Trek besides the movie (that's probably blasphemy, right?) but I still found this really accessible and I loved your descriptions and your dialogue. Also, I love how you title all your stories (that I've seen) with Charlotte Sometimes lyrics :)
